Leaf Clean Energy was established to invest in clean energy, predominantly in North America. Clean energy includes activities such as the production of alternative fuels, renewable power generation and the use of technologies to reduce the environmental impact of traditional energy sources.

Initially funded with £200m from a range of investors the shares of Leaf Clean Energy are quoted on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.
